Tuesday, June 5th, 2012
In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Baltimore Orioles have swapped 28-year-old closer Jim Johnson to the Pittsburgh Pirates for 21-year-old minor league starting pitcher Stetson Allie. The Orioles GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it."

For the year Johnson has 12 saves in 24 relief appearances with a 1-3 mark and 2.88 ERA.
