No Hits for Rivero, Streak Ends at 21
Thursday, May 24th, 2012
Carlos Rivero's 21-game hitting streak was snapped today at Alliance Bank Stadium. The 24-year-old Chiefs shortstop failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats in the game with the Columbus Clippers, but Syracuse came out the winner, topping them 13-11.

One of his teammates told BNN, "The streak was no big deal to Carlos. He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames. That's the bottom line."

So far in 2012 Rivero is batting .344 with 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 163 at-bats and a .434 OBP.
